"CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT" the word itself has so much of seriousness within itself. In this profession students like me feel that an individual just has 2 stages of life instead of three, one the childhood and then directly the oldage. The youth is all lost in running around for classes , articleship and listening to lectures from everyone like your parents ,teachers, boss and sometimes even your friends .Dont you guys and girls aspiring to be CAs feel the same. The rest of the youngsters enjoy college life like partying and bunking college and sitting in the canteen but we CA students run for classes, our articleship and life seems to be so boring. But yes we cannot ignore the fact that after we become CAs life is very respectable. But as students we all prefer a rocking and partying life, isn't it? Well I never wanted to go for this line but my daddy dearest always wanted to become a CA but then his parents were not financially strong so his dream remained a dream. When he was gifted by two daughters he thought that one of them would definitely fulfill his dream but the older one opted for engineering. The only one remained was me. I wanted to go for arts and then opt for BMM but my dad was keen on sending me for the Commerce -CA line and he did prevail in doing so and it has always been a mystery as to how he convinced me.

Initially I found it really boring , I mean those big huge books. At times I felt like tearing those pages and selling Bhelpuri in them. Atleast that would be more interesting than this. Each and every time I used to crib and threaten my parents that incase I fail in the fisrt attempt of CPT I would do whatever I like and they would not interfere then. Soon classes began for the December attempt which was going to be my first and last attempt. At first I thought let me fail. Maybe then atleast my parents would understand that I am not capable enough for this career and let me do what I like but then those emotional blackmails like every parent does, they finally coaxed me to at least give it a try. The initial days of classes were very boring. All I wished over there was to sleep. Infact I was sleeping with my eyes open. The teachers were very efficient but somewhere down the line I wasn't much interested and therefore all the subjects especially Maths used to go over my head. The voice of the teacher used to be like pigeons flying out of my ears. I always thought when would this exam get over and I would be able to enjoy my Christmas. But as time passes by I started to enjoy my classes not because of the teaching or because I gained some interest in studies but because of my two very good friends Arwa and Dipika and the eating sessions I had with them. Whenever my mum used to ask me about my classes all I used to tell her was that momma what are you giving me for dabba tomorrow. Even though my mum used to give me great food in those dabbas all I enjoyed was Arwa 's Poha and Dipika's Chole. All classes meant to me was having a leisure time with my friends and eating their dabbas so much so that even during the lectares we three girls were upto some mischief of ours like eating dairymilk all the time or sipping coke beneath the benches and trying to act as if we were picking up our fallen pencils and pens or teasing one another with some or the other cute guy. We had totally forgotten that we have to give exams on December which was near the corner. My classes had become my life because of my funloving friends and our mischief which we addressed to as doing keedagiri. Then when November came it suddenly striked to us that we are pursuing CA . Then night and day became all one for us and we managed to study though we used to chat with one another either due to messages or phonecalls.

The day dawned and we gave our exams. For me, like usual the Maths paper was a big mystery but the excitement of finishing my paper and meeting Arwa and Dipika and enjoying Christmas with my mum,my dad and my crazy sister was more overwhelming. Who cares if I pass or fail , atleast I tried and now I won't be thinking about the results .All whats there in my head is JINGLE BELLS, JINGLE BELLS ,JINGLE ALL THE WAY..............................
